Michael Sampson is a Collaboration Strategist. He’s the founder of Michael Sampson Company. We caught up with Michael at the SHARE 2012 Conference in Atlanta, where we talk to him in depth about his approach to developing collaboration strategies around SharePoint.
During our conversation, Michael reveals the number one secret to getting executive support for SharePoint. He also discusses the proper context necessary for a successful implementation and adoption of SharePoint within the enterprise. Just because there’s executive support for SharePoint as an enterprise initiative doesn’t guarantee success. Michael talks about his approach to getting an alignment in understanding about SharePoint, and specifically getting alignment between executives and IT staff.
Michael also discusses SharePoint user adoption challenges. In fact, Michael is getting ready to release the 2nd edition of his book, User Adoption Strategies. He has a four stage framework for user adoption, and provides SharePoint decision-makers with a strategy to ensure the investment in SharePoint delivers the promised ROI.
Watch this video to discover some ideas about one of the most common issues surrounding SharePoint – user adoption in the enterprise.
